It was a strange Greencare day today, fungal spore gate saw us using the classroom until we have tamed our damp inducing, humidity threatening, mould flourishing nightmare of a yurt. Also the first Greencare day with Mary, out new horticultural therapist, following Alison’s departure. Lovely to see Fiona back after her ill health.
So, a new radiator and dehumidifier have been introduced into the yurt to try to combat the result of our inclement British weather. Enquiries are being made into yurt renovation, and, temporarily, we have replaced the gaiters (yurt skirt) with pond liner to discourage water from seeping into the yurt. A sunny day saw us crawling, pulling, stretching and squelching, working well as a cohesive team.
Carrot and parsnip soup plus sweet potato chips for a scrummy lunch.
