Associate Staff Member
Sue has worked in NHS mental health for over 20 years and is currently Training and Administration Manager with the Thames Valley Initiative, a dedicated personality disorder training team associated with the Complex Needs Services. Following a few years at home bringing up her two boys in the 1980’s, Sue rejoined the workforce in administration in a doctors surgery in Cirencester.
In 1992 she moved to Reading and joining the then small Psychotherapy team as secretarial support. Shortly after this in 1994, the Psychotherapy Dept joined with the Winterbourne Therapeutic Community and Rex Haigh joined the team. Sue became Rex’s PA and was consequently involved in the inception and development of the LLEs, taking on the important task of organising food for participants and staff from Jean Rees from 2006 and is pleased to continue to be involved with the administration and housekeeping of the workshops.
