Growing Better Lives

It’s a dogs life – sun and fun!

Lots going on when we arrived this morning  – agitation, energy- but the magic of the group diffused difficult feelings. It’s good to have the space where these things can be talked about.

We welcomed Sir Duke for the second time

– and two new yurt animals from the Caribbean named Bob and Marley.

Outside with lots of work to do. We divided into two groups – one group made a temporary repair to shed roof where the felt had turned even more. For now a   tarpaulin cover weighted down the top with bricks and from hanging water bottles…

The other group concocted an amazing leek and potato soup and the Greencare special egg mayonnaise.

A writing group after lunch for our new fundraising venture – Hayley (Lynda’s daughter) is going to do a Rough Runner 15K course  on 9th April and is donating her sponsorship  money  to us.

The other group went potty planting  brightly coloured primulas in pots and around the shed. All accompanied by our canine member Sir Duke.

So much achieved so much laughter and lots of early spring sunshine – no coats needed! Going home feeling tired but more settled.
