Permaculture Course Day 1

23Mar2015

Sustainability for mental health projects: Two day Permaculture Course

At The Yurt, Iver Environmental Centre

Developing a greencare mental health service using an integrated systems approach

Monday 23 March and Monday 27 April 2015

Permaculture is an ethical framework which cares for people, cares for the planet and ensures fair shares. It uses whole system thinking to consciously create productive environments that mimic the diversity, stability and resilience of natural systems. With these techniques we can design for abundance, enjoy superior health and wellbeing, and allow ourselves more sustainable choices.

On this two day course, you will learn about:

  • the ethics and principles of permaculture
  • useful design methods
  • observation skills
  • tackling a real design problem
  • how to apply these techniques to design your own urban systems

The teaching style will be lively, participatory and thought provoking. We hope that you will come away with the understanding and inspiration to create your own meaningful solutions.
