A celebratory check in and feedback: so proud of Sharon’s and Lynda’s massive achievements as peer reviewers and congratulations on their visit to Folkestone yesterday 🙂 We also really enjoyed seeing the fabulous ‘weaver bird’ nest so kindly brought back for us from Africa by Haley – a natural object of beauty.
Vanessa was surreptitious removed from the yurt (on the excuse of some passive smoking) while it was decorated to celebrate her half century – another celebration! This lead to Vanessa being in an usually frivolous mood: role reversal with Miss Fiona who then ‘accused’ us of frivolously acting out whilst she was trying to maintain order when selecting paint colours for our new shed. After much discussion consensus was achieved by using both Sea Grass and Purple Pansy. Watch this space for photo when done! All followed by making and devouring our lunch of cauliflower cheese!
Another wonderful gift from Lynda – grow balls to be used as mindfulness sensory balls. Our hands enjoyed their enveloping in those squidgy wet colourful objects. More sensible planning of dates for the next couple of months- shed erection, allotment clearing and yurt refurbishment. All to be done in time for Christmas (79 days and counting!)
Finally the weather cleared and we took a late afternoon mindful walk around the wilderness surrounding the yurt: an exotic rainforest area where grows medicinal, edible and beautiful plants…
