A tiring but worthwhile day with lots of friendship. We welcomed a new (human) member plus another of the canine variety and noticed the absence of Hils and Fiona, we missed them, and were happy with Sharon’s good news of changing hospital appointment dates so she could attend out Christmas festivities!
Starting with an introduction to the yurt and a guided tour of the site including all our favourite places – the amazing maze, the rainforest, our allotment (complete with new shed) and the slippery slide. All had that obligatory trip down! We were then joined by David and did our group check-n. So nice to be able to be present and talk without having to ‘put the mask on’.
Lunch of potato and cauliflower soup (from last week’s leftovers) plus our infamous egg mayo and its new friend, tuna and sweetcorn mayo. Then some hard physical work finishing painting the new shed, laying a weed membrane, relaying the path above it and covering the area with four full wheelbarrows of bark . A well-deserved sit down back in the yurt – beautifully tidied and hoovered thanks to Lynda and Sharon. We printed off our favourite photos, chose our plant emoticons and did our check-out.
Next week is the 1st of December and time to put up the Christmas decorations in the yurt, so watch this space…
